A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in northern Gaza, where thousands are displaced and medical facilities are under threat. Al-Awda Hospital, supported by Relief International, has been struck three times and is currently encircled by armed forces, trapping 163 people, including patients and staff. The hospital's infrastructure has been damaged, and aid shipments have been unable to reach the area due to closed border crossings.

As the conflict escalates, it is crucial that all parties prioritize protecting healthcare workers, civilians, and essential infrastructure. International humanitarian law demands protection for medical facilities, and third states should uphold these principles by demanding their enforcement in Gaza.
