A lot of wills just use vague language like “i leave my digital assets to…” and many lawyers aren’t up to speed on the significance of what that actually means. Digital assets encompasses everything from bitcoin to your twitter account, so if you want your bitcoin separated from the rest of your digital assets, this could be one way to evidence that you intended your bitcoin to go to someone separately than your digital assets. Someone could easily argue that having “digital assets” go to one person and bitcoin to another are inconsistent terms in a will, opening it up to dispute over what was actually intended.
