Ownership implies that you have control over it and can take it away. It's a basic social networking feature to delete posts. We are talking about computer data here, not what you hear.

Taking responsibility in what you write can also mean that you should be able to delete something you said in error or misjudgment.

The idea isn’t to completely clone all basic social networking features.

More consideration before publishing is a good thing.

Oh man you Twitter Refugees are something else lol. You do not belong on alternative-tech with that mentality.

It happend to me recently that I made a bad "joke" because I didn't see a possible misinterpretation in the word I used, because I not English mother language, and I for me when I say black is just about the pure colour and not anything else or connected with race or similar thoughts.. anyway after I posted, I immediately could see that it could be seen in a certain way and I would like to delete it. I just commented under it, explaining better myself and my error, even if it was genuinely not meant, but I understood it could be seen far from what I had in mind, and I apologized for that.

Anyway, just saying that even if in the future Delete option would be possible, I don't think I will use it, taking more responsibility of what I wrote. Not saying is the optimum or the good way, just mine from now.
