Niall Young and Joni Mitchell back on Spotify I see.
Pathetic.

Wait, Neil Young is full of shit?

I'm a fan don't get me wrong. He pulled a stunt over covid where he pulled his music from Spotify because Joe Rogan (who I couldn't give a shit about) was 'peddling covid misinformation' on Spotify.
Yeah, I remember that. I'm a fan of Neil's music too - saw him live a few years back with Crazy Horse - but I have a hard time stomaching all his moral posturing given that he's been stinking rich from about the age of 22.
Crazy horse LP's are savage
They put out one I unironically like which was just feedback and power chords spliced together from the ends of songs on live recordings. It might have been a joke for all I know but it was ahead of its time.
Virtue-signaling, grifter pieces of crap.
I still listen to the music, but I won't forget that they and more likely , their PR team , tried to silence public discourse on the most contentious topic of modern history.
Dude, I just can't do it anymore. I try to embrace the ethos of "art over artist" but with some of the bullshit that has been pushed/said over the past few years, I haven't been able to re-embrace some of the work produced by the assholes (or as you say, perhaps their PR teams) pushing bullshit. Perhaps more time, we shall see.
Yeah, well like, fuck them too at the same time. Wankers.
There are some artists that I have always loved that I cling to but I find myself in the same boat more and more - I just can't be bothered anymore. There's also a wealth of great music made before everything turned political which is waiting to be explored.
