An app built by nostr:npub1aeh2zw4elewy5682lxc6xnlqzjnxksq303gwu2npfaxd49vmde6qcq4nwx to remove inactive (zombie) follows from your list. The UI/UX is really cool. It’s like a zombie game. It has nice features like backing up your follow list with hist.nostr.land

what's inactive? also if 5 test npubs follow my npub - it not create any issue my side

Someone who hasn’t used their keypair for a few months. I ran the tool yesterday and it found a person who was inactive for 4 months

I remember when I used the yehgro tool for the first time, I found roughly 600 inactives (I was following roughly 1200 so half my list)

what u FOLLOW is different thing - others zoomies follow u not matters

also i was not using for 3 months - so ?

its dead weight. Each time I did a query my client had to try and pull info from 600 inactives.

If you’re inactive for a few months, either people keep following you or they can refollow when you come back

It’s not about reducing your followers. It’s about cleaning up the dead bodies from your follow list so you don’t have such a heavy kind 3 event to sign whenever you make a profile update. Each npub takes up 32 bytes. If you have dozens or hundreds, that adds up.

Pensando si podemos hacer algo en conjunto o unificar clientes

Han visto este? nostrguard.vercel.app

nostr:npub1rzg96zjavgatsx5ch2vvtq4atatly5rvdwqgjp0utxw45zeznvyqfdkxve This might be the unfollow list site we’ve been looking for…! 👀

Very interesting

Stuff like this is too complicated for normies.

If we ever expect nostr to be adopted stuff like this needs to be already built into clients.

Yeah we’re not at the normie stage yet. This is for us nerds 🤣

It’s just the geeks who are left. Normies aren’t coming no matter what we do, so it’s kind of pointless to complain about what features clients do or don’t have. We can all just vibecode our own Nostr experience now, and if other people like it, they’ll use it too.

Is there an AI I can vibe code with that won't gaslight me and refuse to do what I tell it to do?

Every attempt at vibe coding I've made just results in the AI lying to me, saying it done what I ask without doing it.

I'd really appreciate an AI that says "sorry I can't do that" instead of just lying and gaslighting and making broken code that doesn't work every single time.

Actually I highly don’t recommend using nostr:npub1yrffsyxk5hujkpz6mcpwhwkujqmdwswvdp4sqs2ug26zxmly45hsfpn8p0’s app at the moment, as it appears to have overwritten my mute list. This was likely caused by the app using hardcoded relays instead of querying the user relays before reading and writing the kind 10000 event. I’m going to submit a PR and if all else fails, I will just build my own version of this app with better backup and restore features.

Hay algo mal? Igual me gusta que hagas la investigación y si podés hacer una mejor versión, buena forma de colaborar entre todos 🫡

Yes, I’m going to try to fix some of the bugs to prevent more list-rugging!

Hoy le hice algunas mejoras y a mi me anda perfecto al 100%

I’ve fixed the major issues I found so far. One thing that was missing from the app is a backup function, so I have added that. Now it’s easy to export and import a mute list JSON file, so users have more control over and visibility into the list management. I also translated the UI text from Spanish to English, but in the future it might be a good idea to have a language localization feature. Keep an eye out for a PR tomorrow. 🤙

For me, it’s plebs vs zombies for now 🫡

I’m submitting a PR to fix for nostr:npub1yrffsyxk5hujkpz6mcpwhwkujqmdwswvdp4sqs2ug26zxmly45hsfpn8p0’s app and then I’m probably going build my own mute list manager called Mutable. 🤐

typical for a retard

Algunas personas sólo conocen el odio y esa debe ser una existencia vacía.

Algunas personas realmente no pueden pensar.

its the truth

Creating ban lists, mute lists is not really something good. Its typical of the cancel culture. There were threads on Nostr discussing mute lists on BlueSky.

Its alright when people personally use to mute people they don't want to see but when it becomes mass feature it will cancel many just by default. And I think thats not right. Especially for Nostr where freedom of speech value is supported by majority. My solution is not to mute actually. I have my own groups of people and I still read from time to time people who disagree with me.

To each his own, but I prefer not to see posts from airdrop bots and fake Lyn Aldens.

That would be more of a job for realy operators.

I can never disagree with fighting spam.

This is what early looks like.

Except, people did develop more user friendly ways to use the internet.

The internet as it was in the 80s never would have been adopted by mainstream society.

Do you not think the same will happen with Nostr?

How long did it take to get to a point mainstream would adopt it?

We’re 3 years in. Patience is needed

yes i.e. cleaners own "following list" - to keep is minimal or loading issues in "following"

who following cleaner not matters

Exacto, un muy buen cliente ☺️ 👌

No, I tried to do that and it turned out to be incompatible because of the data transfer size limit of NIP-46. Users with large follow counts can’t use the app at all, and rather than give them a degraded experience, I decided not to implement it. If someone else can figure out a way to do it, I’m open to a PR, but Claude and I couldn’t figure it out. 😅

Ok perfecto 👌
