Ignore that I’m 8 days behind the daily reading.

What struck me from this passage is that Abraham wasn’t out “on mission”. He was resting in the shade of the oak on a hot day. When God brought people into his space he welcomed them and broke bread.

We’ve lost that hospitality as a western culture and I think we forget it’s exemplified throughout scripture.
