If I follow a profile that doesn't share any common relays, will I see their notes? #asknostr

I know several that I follow that even share the same relay and I don't see their stuff, I actually have to go to their profile. It's weird.

Which client are you using? That largely decides how relays are handled.

Primal. Does @primal auto-add relays for new follows?

Primal basically uses a caching relay where they collect notes from some relays and you interact with their cache relay only.

Other clients like Damus interact with the relays you add.

And other clients like Amethyst use the outbox model where you read and write to inbox and outbox relays of each npub, so all over Nostr.

Wow, thank you for explaining. That's a whole other layer of NOSTR I didn't know anything about.

Give other clients a try for a different viewpoint.

Your choice is mostly governed by your OS.

Primal is dumb. Please migrate to a client that doesn't act like legacy social media. 🙄

What clients are you using?

Nostr needs p2p data verification over Tor but devs don't build that because it wouldn't give them centralized control
