That’s 4380 terabytes a year. Not horrible, a storage center for that would cost 127k to build. But that’s for just a year. Have to add that every year (exponentially).
I guess that wouldn’t be to difficult to pay then monetize through paid access or donations? Ads?
This doesn’t include the cost to store and energy to run either.

Yeah, going to be wild once this is figured out. I believe in censorship for crimes against humanity that we call all agree on. It’s the Truth that shouldn’t be censored.

Ah. Interesting concept. Relays can be “theme” based. Taylor swift relay, Kanye Relay, F1 relay, blah blah blah. Ad infintium.
That link says txt alone is only 2 terabytes a year. Much easier and cheaper to store. Particularly if there are only a few topics your relay stores.
So, relays will go from general to very specific.

I’m coming to the conclusion that massive centralization is ok, with one caveat: the decentralized portion can’t be shut down.
Though. I don’t see how that works. Massive relays: ISP’s, FB’s, Twitters, etc will all censor their platform. As they should. The amount of sick shi* that gets put into the world is frightening.
How do we limit the verifiably bad: Child Porn, Murder, Torture, Revenge Porn, etc and allow the good: “conspiracy theories,” and “thought crimes”.
