Start9 can be installed on any hardware. I have an old dell micro tower. You can do the same on an old laptop. Popped the image on a USB clicked install. Done.

It does need to be a dedicated machine though. I found a refurbished dell micro on Amazon for $75 usd
The ones I’m selling cost $150 with upgrades off eBay. I’ve found hardware sub $50 all in too.
