Well we're dramatising a lot of this singularity claims. Think of the Roman transition from a republic to an empire. The French and Bolshevik revolutions. We now know what happened after their occurrence, nobody knew upfront. Don't underestimate humanity's resilience to whatever you may consider to be good or bad at a certain moment in time.
