No they don't, humans have massive negativity bias.
For good reason, fear is a survival instinct.
Too simple and explanation. Fear is the Mind Killer. Overcoming fear is what separates revolutionaries from cowards.
No doubt some fear is a good thing, but to simply survive is not enough for me. I won't let fear restrict me to survival, I will truly live.
If you stick your head in the sand you can avoid both scenarios...
