Regarding your panels, why not tilt them up towards the south with an adjustable support that allows angle adjustments for seasonal azimuth? You will need to space them to avoid shading, but it looks like you have plenty of roof. Generally and depending on exact location 17 degree west of NS is a roughly optimal facing angle.
