Last night when my husband got home with groceries, he put a bag of groceries on top of one of my young rabbit's cage. She must have been startled from sleep and went running frantically around the cage. She seemed to settle down, but we later realized she seemed to have broken her back. When he went to feed her 2 hours later, she just lay there with only her front end moving. She was butchering age anyway, but it was unpleasant to have to butcher her unexpectedly and in a rush trying to do it before the sun went down.
