Chat, do any of y'all have any opinions or thoughts of doing an oil change yourself?

Any cheaper, or benefits, does it take a lot of equipment, or is it better just to let the pros take care of it?

If you want something done right do it yourself. The ppl u call pros are most certainly monkeys

I mean I've been going to them for years now, and they seem all pretty knowledgeable.

It's a good Christian Business, so I like supporting them but getting an oil change is starting to get too pricey for me.

Cost me a jug of oil and a filter at walmart. Tools are an upfront cost but help out with a lot of other things. Strive for sovereignty in all aspects of life

What would estimate the cost to be?

Half the price or less of a pro service. But I stopped doing it because its made up for in time and convenience. Plus two young kids.

Torque wrench (if you don't yet have a feel for how much to torque the bolt), copper washer, silicone, way to hoist your car up and the wrench for oil filter. Before putting new oil filter, wet the o-ring with oil.

Potentially you'll need few screwdrivers, change cabin and air filter too

Takes about an hour.
