Thinking adversarially is a good thing. You might think, "We've got into the App Store, and hyuk hyuk we got AI to write our TOS and application; WE'RE WINNING! LET'S GOOOOOOO!".
That's all well and good, but are you thinking adversarially? Do you see every step of your process as just an item on your checklist to be ticked off? Have you considered, "What happens to our users if our app goes away from iOS for any reason?
If you think adversarially, you might hold the following: "Look at what happened to Andrew Torba and Gab. Because his platform allows people to say whatever they want that is legal speech, Apple and Google won't allow his client to be distributed. We need to construct something that allows our users to move their entire accounts as a blob to another platform in a snap (no, not Ubuntu, clever man) so that our users can never be cut off. We should perhaps abandon the idea of a native app entirely and launch a Progressive Web App like Gab did that will run on any device no matter what Apple or Google says."
Perhaps this, given the "Censorship Resistance" mindset to Nostr people should have been the position from the start. Because Andrew Torba and Gab are pariahs amongst many they would not (if they even know any of Gabs architecture woes) have sought to emulate him lest they and Nostr be associated with "Gab Ethics" (free speech).
The answer to Nostr client on iOS and Google Play is to go 100% Progressive Web App. Andrew Torba I'm sure would be willing to help with the design, saving developers many hours and tears of frustration.
Why continue to beg like Plebs when you can write software and be totally free? Gab has resisted the German and French governments successfully and others. No one can ban their app or have any control over them whatsoever.
The App Store and Google Play are SPOFs that can damage the short term ability to use Nostr; why wait for the hammer to come down? Do it now. Turn your back on relying on the behemoths and begging like peasants.
If you don't know anything about Gab, you should learn about it and their battles that they've won very astonishingly and bigly.
