Why do most of those I know shy away from discussing the grave and perilous state of our world today? Each time I broach serious matters, they swiftly signal that I am ruining their revelry. They choose to shut out the harsh truths and dance upon the deck of a sinking ship. How tormented the conscious souls before World War II must have felt, their cries echoing into an indifferent abyss.
