When I was younger than 10 my teacher sat my class down in the new computer room and asked us if we knew what Google was. I laughed cos it was a funny word. I thought for sure it was a type of pasta.

Those computer room sessions were the best, practically 30 minutes of gaming 😎

Facts

Damn 🔥🤯 I was too afraid to use the keyboard 😂🤣😂🤣🫂

Same here, and how fast we typed was apart of our grading scheme 🤧

Whaaaa 👀 that’s so mean 😂😭🫂

I remember it was only for a year or two then the program wasn’t that tough 🤣

When I was in 4th grade we had a computer class with these in them and all I did all day was play Oregon trail and Mario teaches typing🤷🏽

Legit. We made music playlists and streamed Halo highlights 😂

Halo rounds were when I was in highschool racing to the lab to skip lunch🤷🏽

Basically red vs blue was made for my age group exactly because that's what we did in our off time🤷🏽

You drive a puma?

Nah I sucked if I was playing I was getting killed.

I was the official dj of weird al songs🤷🏽

I was always the least experienced so I was just out there trying to not did every 30 seconds lol

You can dj with me it's ok

Yes!!!

You guys were so much more advanced than me 😂🫂 I was there trying to figure out how to use the keyboard, poking 1 letter a minute 😭

Bet ur great at typing and avoiding dysentery tho. The real life skills.

Dysentery yes.

Typing I'm not so sure🤷🏽

1 out of 2. I'll take it haha

When I was in middle school they let us go to the computer lab for keyboarding class. We used apple iie's and everyone was given a 5-1/4" floppy disk to save their work on. The teacher was militant about having everyone ground themselves before touching the computers because they were expensive and they were scared that a static shock would ruin them. The best part was making fifteen foot long happy birthday banners using the tractor feed printer.

This is so cool! 🔥 the grounding thing 😂🫂

I remember when I was 13 my friends and their family came over. I had a crush on their older sister who was in high school. She was doing her essay at home and saved it on a floppy disc to finish it at my house. The file wasn’t on the floppy disc so they asked me to find it. I couldn’t find it so I asked her how she saved it and she said she just pressed the floppy disc icon. Then I sat there explaining to her and her mom how “save as” works 😂

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🫂🔥 brilliant

Google has been around a LONG time. There’s no way you’re old enough that you wouldn’t have heard of it before a computer class.

It has, since 1998 I believe and I was born 1995. But single mum, no money, no internet 🫂 my friends were in a similar situation so they wouldn’t have known about it either. I was too busy pretending to be a pirate to care about Google I suppose

I have to say I would not have guessed you were born in 95.. I would wager you’d still get carded to buy alcohol (at least here in the States)..

98.. the good old days when gaming was on a PlayStation 1 and internet was still dialup (because anything faster cost a fortune).

I’m young but I’m old at the same time 🥹🫂😂

Weirdly I don’t 😭 I should be offended but it’s probably cos I usually order sparkling water 🤣😂🫂

Oo I heard about dial up internet 😂🫂 never used that one I thiiink. I have heard the noise it makes though, from watching ‘you’ve got mail’ about a million times

… for the record stores haven’t even BOTHERed to card me in years. 😭😭

Ahh getting carded is overrated 🫂🫂🥹

Indeed! It’s more funny to me than anything… I went into a pub in Seattle one afternoon and the attendant at the door carded me… I said “Man if you’re flirting with me it’s working. You’re about to be my new best friend…”. He could barely stand he was laughing so hard…. 🤣🤣🤣
