It's definitely black mirrory but I think it will be done and there is very good reason with little ethical concern to do the data collection side of it the way I described above. Not everybody - especially not elderly people today - has a big digital footprint and while we might have limited photos and video, there is little in capturing a person's personality and deep thoughts.

What to do with the collected data is the more tricky part but more capable users could indeed supervise the creation of a short novel. It would be within their grasp and not simulating something they didn't authorize.
