Nostr Problems Solved

Today I learned something I hadn’t realized was happening on Nostr. Because there are no algorithms boosting posts and no centralized company deciding what shows up in my feed, that freedom means visibility works differently. If my relays are messy or my profile metadata isn’t refreshed, I can become almost invisible, which was where I was. The work was mine to do: pruning relays, republishing metadata, and keeping the profile alive across the network.

So that’s what I did. I went to my profile → I looked at the relays → I pruned what was dead → I republished my metadata by editing and saving my profile. That is how I refresh my presence and make sure my notes are seen across the network.

Thanks nostr:npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq and to ai of course …

My difficulty searching for you actually comes just from non standard characters in your handle.

I follow you, so I receive everything you post (as far as I know).

If I want to tag you though, I have to search through my feed to find your npub. I can't find you using @Bravo

This isn't something you necessarily need to fix, it's a cool looking handle. It's just much more difficult to find you if I'm looking specifically for you.

Oh I see but now if you type @monikaco I will appear that is what I solved this morning prompted by your note

Yeah - that works now!

Thanks for bringing light to this - I learned a thing or two this morning 😀
