True nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc. What is the downside? Why is only a limited number on F-Droid?

To release on F-Droid, your app needs to be open source in at least major parts of the app. This is what many greedy bastards don't appreciate. 🤷

So what is needed to change that mindset. I mean there is an incentive for people doing that. Change the incentive and people will change. Time will increase the price and the incentive for value4value

Maybe people with proprietary apps should get a ransomware attack every week. That should be incentive enough to change to a secure, open source alternative. :)

F-Droid is just another walled garden. You may like the walls but they are walls none the less.

I call bullshit. You don't even need an user account to use #fdroid and can even add your own 3rd party repositories to any decent #fdroid client.

They say it themselves “On this site you’ll find a repository of FOSS apps”. Your app must be FOSS to be listed on their Store.

You can make your own f-droid repository for your own apps 🤫
