Some thoughts:

1. People will only follow people they consider more successful than themselves. If I’ve read Bitcoin culture correctly a) Bitcoiners don’t flaunt their wealth and b) a Bitcoiners perception of success is different from the ‘mainstream’ understanding.

2. A key part of becoming a Bitcoiner is the realisation that the establishment have played most people for fools; it’s not easy to admit that you’ve been part of the problem, not part of the solution for much of your life.

i became a bitcoiner after being rugged and watching so many people being rugged and getting in close to shitcoin culture in several projects and being manipulated and abused and nearly quite badly injured one time... probably helped also having had spent a year in prison for being on the dark web but i shitcoined plenty until the terra/luna/celsius rug, after spending 6 months getting shitcoin dev pay rates

i still get paid pretty good but i'm being mostly left out of the shitcoining, my boss is awesome
