In fairness I don’t know if restaurants quite qualify. I don’t agree eating out is good for you or fiscally logical but an occasional meal out at a locally run spot is a solid way to vote with your dollar imo 🤷♂️✌️🤝✊
Support local is definitely a solid choice. I support local businesses as much as I can too.
Fully agree with the sentiment of the OG post though, consumerism is out of control and it's hard not to get sucked in.
Yeah I absolutely 💯 agree. Wife and I have been minimalists for a long time. Sold house n belongings and lived in van with our 75lb pit, definitely puts into perspective what you want vs need.
Local shops once in a while because they still very expensive. We need to stop buying so they lower price if people keep buying thats saying yes everything is ok. I ate at a regular burger joint just me and my some and the bill was $47 for 2 burger meals

I agree. But not buying from the locals will still just hurt them in turn. Folks who can afford to spend should spend local is all I’m really getting at.
