I read that the average person spends about $400 per year on all electronic purchases. This includes phone, tv, computer, and video games.

It's supposed to appeal to people who have been brainwashed by the "Cult of Apple". Simple as that. 🤷♂️🙄
I’d like to think that I’m not a Luddite, but I have not been able to come away with a useful reason for these beyond a perceived cool factor. And even that, I don’t buy into, so I’m left with: you should buy this to show off to others so they get jealous and also buy it.
It feels like the epitome of a Consoom meme.
