Yes. Nostr fixes this. We need Nostrbnb.

Unfortunately it doesn’t fix apartment and building that has an ongoing construction that the host hidden from us 😅

So the problem isn't really the platform but the shitty people that would be on any platform.

Wrong, sir, wrong. Shitty people are a lack-of-nostr problem. Nostr enables transferable relational contracting with Sybil resistant reputation (I suspect), which monetizes not being an asshole, enabling real competition for quality.

There's also a reputation system on bnb. I wouldn't rent from a host with bad reputation or bad reviews.

How would it be different here?

It used to be solid. What's wrong with it now?

The key words here are“used to be”

I haven't used it recently so that's why I worded it that way. What changed?

🇺🇸?

420?

Budandbreakfast.com

Booking.com has private apartments on better conditions.

Sucks big time

I've been going back to booking hotels

When they wanted me to agree to some woketarded terms a few years back, I canceled and deleted my account.

💯 I'm a hotel maxi now

I am also looking for an alternative to airbnb, recently I overpaid a lot. Only I like to sleep in a private house and not in a hotel.

Alternative is a hotel lol

Not for me, when I'm in a hotel it feels like I'm sleeping on a train, for me every hotel looks similar. That's why I've always used Airbnb. But recently I was in Seoul and they screwed up with the rental cost compared to what I got. I've noticed recently that the prices are higher.

For example, today I used booking.com and I have this view:

And it looks a lot better to me than a hotel. So for me Airbnb can be easily replaced by booking.com, I found out about it today.
