Test account and backups are good advice. That said, I use four different clients so far no issues.

I'm signed in 3 different clients in my Android device as well as Iris PWA on mobile Linux. No issues worth my follows but I have noticed issues with relay connections on Amethyst.

There are. Some relays I barely get connected to like eden. But then relays like wine work perfect 24/7

Amethyst has worked best for me when I limited my relay list to ~10, half of which are paid.

Amethyst is by far the most laggy client I have tried. I'm a huge fan of Nostros.
