hey what do you Arch people think of EndeavourOS?

Imma load it up on a spare machine and take a look.

It's my go to at this point. It's an arch desktop without all the setup, absolutely fantastic, you can't beat it.

I go the "no desktop" route and install Wayland, xwayland and a compositor (sway for me, and I also have labwc and sfwbar for a "normal" cascading, mouse oriented environment that I hardly ever use, and ly as my login manager) but if you prefer a DE and you like KDE or whatever that stuff installs seamlessly by itself.

that sounds pretty damn awesome

arch + arch install does the trick. arch does what I need 🤙🏼

so Endeavour is just for lightweights maybe 🤔

I'm not sure. I wouldn't call myself a power user, but a mere tinkerer. I think the system is simple, the new-ish arch-install package (I'm not sure if it's currently packaged in the iso) uses a simple repl to pick features like desktop environments and whatnot.

the best distro is the one that works for you. I like debian and arch because they're simple and easy for me to use for simple programming and other such things.

I was an arch user once. Now i use nixos.

Hot take: nixos is the best power user Linux distro
