In Miami, I received a large zap from #[5] for his split of the bill for steak (see note below).
Now, something we’re building is a “ZapRaiser”, where there is a target amount to be raised. But! There is another interesting use case - where a restaurant (for example) could issue a ZapRaiser (commonly known as a bill) to be paid for. The bill payer could pay it themselves, or decide to split with friends.
As someone who is not keen on pieces of paper - this bill could be issued through QR code - but that means standing there whilst everyone scans it in, or printing - or written to a reusable NFC chip that is placed on the table.
On successfully paying the bill, the restaurant could issue receipts electronically in the form of a new event kind to those who paid (do we have a kind for receipts yet?). This saves paper, and means it easier to submit your expenses / account for purchases at the end of the year (a pet hate of mine dealing with receipts for those who run businesses).
This could be expanded upon with reviews with “proof of purchase”.
