the first point is the most important. how has it been over a year since this upload protocol came into existence and i still can't *use my paid account* to see my uploads automatically come from clients?
i'm sure that if there is a way to do it in spec already that nostr:npub1syjmjy0dp62dhccq3g97fr87tngvpvzey08llyt6ul58m2zqpzps9wf6wl would probably have it working tomorrow.
i think blossom works, and blossom.band is the nostr.build blossom server, but i can't log in to notr.build nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w because it's been so long i have no idea what my password is, i tried to use the nostr DM login and it just blipped, not working.
wen pure nostr user auth fishcake? am i doing something wrong?
haha what a farce. literally i have to make a new npub to use nostr.build now, i can't even use it if want to, can't even pay to use it.

You can use the same npub, just login with it and that is all

it rejects it with usernpub or password not valid. i can't see what i'm supposed to do with the link it sends me either. i try using that to log in, also doesn't work.
Can you try copy pasting the login code into DM dialog if you are using DM login. Link, technically, supposed to let you in but if it doesn’t work then maybe I have a bug in that area. Extension should work too. If all fails, I’ll reset your password and DM it to you, so you can change it again after login

it doesn't respond correctly when i paste the code from the DM either.
it's not allowing me to log in without a password, and i think that's what the main problem is, and i don't understand why i need a password when i can sign.
Can you try logging in on a staging stack. staging.nostr.build with code from DM

How does that work? I select blossom.band from Lumina uploads, or something and then it pulls from nostr.build? But how does it know to grab from build?
in jumble at least, it automatically adds uploaded images using https://blossom.band to your collection, unlike if you use the CDN way.
lumina should do this too, there is also a nostr event associated with it, from my reading of the nip

it might help to make it more clear that blossom.band is nostr.build property. also, on the page there is no simple way to just copy the link to paste into a client config

i think #jumble actually says it's nostr.build but that's the only place i think i've seen the two domains next to each other
We have it, and it is the same thing
https://blossom.nostr..build is the same site and can be used interchangeably. The links will have to be a separate domain because due to the nature of how blossom works, I have to give each npub a separate subdomain so accounts can have their private media

i'm pleased that fishy got this sorted out because it was the number one irritating thing to have to use the web interface when the clients were uploading.
Are you pressing "Login with NIP 07" button, at the top? That's the browser extension one.
Yeah, I think that doesn't work, anywhere. I thought that was what Blossom would accomplish, but... I dunno. Don't understand media server stuff. 🤷🏻♀️
it seems to me like it is the number two most important element of the feature. just paid nostr devs serving their customers and not users i guess. and rugging the paid service providers as well. it would be trtivial to add the pubkey and a signature to prove it and voila, provider knows who uploaded it and then they can put it in their gallery.
without that, i mean, i JFC man what the fuck is wrong with these people
is it any wonder we have had these epidemics of porn spam when nostr.build and co can only manually review uploaded content, and they can't whitelist it or put non-signed stuff in a pergatory for review?

looking at the nips there is B7 which appears to use blossom and actually is a signed event that would qualify for this. but i couldn't actually find a nip for the image upload protocol, so i guess it's not a nip and that would explain why it doesn't do the thing.
so maybe you have to use blossom to get it to work?
yeah, nostr.build doesn't have this feature but sattelite.earth does, and there is a blossom.band and some other one.

seriously, i just checked the site out and there is still no nostr based primary identity for accounts. you have to create an npub/password combo. uh. hold on, can't i prove i control my npub by signing such that it verifies as a signature from it?
idk whether to laugh or cry at this point. but i think i'm gonna restock my sattelite.earth sub and use their blossom service.

the thing that is bugging me is that alby signer makes me enable always allow so it doesn't bug me every time to sign blossom events.
