A late start this morning but still got a bit done. Played around in the greenhouse tying back the tomatoes. It's come on well in the last two months. Off to mine fiat soon so enjoy the pics 😁

Looks like you have some horsetail in there too which reminds I need to try and make a spray with that...

Yeah, the plot is infested with the bloody stuff... never found anything that can kill it.

At this point pulling it early to weaken it seems the only viable control.. 😡

Yeah it's not an easy one to get rid of ammonium sulphamate would kill it but it will kill everything else too. Seems to like wet ground most though I wonder if you improved the water holding capacity with biochar it might go away? No guarantee though!

Rich in silica though so it makes a good spray for plant health.

It gets added rotted down for that purpose, currently experimenting with biochar. Going to work on one bed at a time. I'll post results and we'll see if there's a difference 😉
