Looking for the next step?

Consider getting a backyard chicken.

Table scraps go a long way in not needing to spend money on feed.

And you will be amazed at what that compost does for your garden.

Absolutely! If you do it right, two or three chickens can be just a few minutes of your time each day in exchange for lots of eggs and garden fertility. And the eggs are *way* better than anything you can buy in a store.

My wife recently was somewhere with very limited food options and had to get something from the cafeteria. Hard boiled egg seemed like the best of their bad choices.

She was amazed at how pale the yolk was.

Hard to beat farm eggs.
