So the corporations sit on top, funnel money to tech they want and use. The governments get lobbied by the corps, they keep the people in place with the current thing (left/right paradigm). And then the corporations deploy the tech they bought to rape and pillage the populations in their respective countries. While the government step on their populations to benefit from the corps money /donations and blame temporary suits in office. Rinse repeat.
