People can do whatever they want with their Bitcoin.
My issue lay with the framework around the O.P.
He's simply misapplied his definitions to the wrong labels.
Ya want to use or spend or can't wait to? No problem. Go ahead. But that seems more in line with the statement: "Money is your God" mantra than a purist who understands why Bitcoin destroys the control structure and its selectively applied nurtured selection processes. Or, as the O.P put it; "Bitcoin Cultists"
As for another post made later in the thread I never addressed; some people are already retired on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin doesn't destroy anything you dolt. It's just computers doing calculations. It's only useful as far as it functions as a money. A peer-ro-peer electronic cash system. This new wave of morons like Jason Lowery who claim that it can somehow replace the utility of physical violence completely misunderstand human existence.

Anyone praying to USE Bitcoin I would argue has carried a degenerative fiat gene into the BTC circle.
Worshipping Money goes way more in hand with people praying to use BTC as money than it does what the O.P called 'Bitcoin Cultists'.
You see it another way, it is you who is short on research.
BTC has a monetary layer. That's not it's point.

Unlike cultists, I have zero issues in trying out newer technology and decide for myself what brings more benefits.
99% of the maxis and cultists for that government approved old-tech have ZERO notion of the consequences to their privacy or future.
Heck, they don't even understand why we started used cryptocurrencies or why they really matter.
