Men and Women both want to subjectively believe they are "marrying up" but don't realize the relationship is collaborative as opposed to competitive. The married couple are suppose to grow together, recognizing they delegate tasks/skills/personality/resources to one another.

Marriage and love is about what somebody can selflessly give without an expectation of getting something in return, wanting what is best for the other. Truly wealthy partnerships are capable of this throughout the relationship.

This is in the hope to be greater as a unit and accomplish more together than what would be done separately.
