BUT it doesn't excite the masses because they don't understand why that is important not do they want to.

Saying that, I would still like to see a world where Bitcoin is used for transacting, but as time passes I find this to be increasingly unlikely due to the technical limitations currently imposed on it. Even if Bitcoin was to be adopted as the worlds reserve, it wouldn't matter enough if the medium of exchange was a cbdc.

This cannot be ruled out as a potential and dare I say even likely outcome.

Yup, agree, I found bitcoin myself when a friend told me about some shitcoin 8 years ago. I got rekt, and have since concluded it only pays to stockpile bitcoins.

As far as how the future plays out, it’s so complex, so many moving parts, so many incentives and different entities, it’s impossible to anticipate how we will actually transact.

But there will never be more than 21 million bitcoins and I’m pretty sure more people over time will find a need to hold them.
