i think BRICS is already talking about incentivizing State resource backed bitcoin mining, and settling accounts in bitcoin.
lot of people missing the significance of that.

wow, I thought they were settling in rubles or rmb, BTC settling would be absolutely wild
a neutral currency between brics and the dollar backed nations would accelerated the timeline a lot
i dont think that is the goal. i think bypassing swift, and G7 controlled payment rails is. While we were election focused, BRICS was meeting to welcome 6 new member states. 3 of which, including Argentina and Ethiopia, are running State controlled bitcoin mining centers.

imagine now if there's distrust between brics and the G7, they would need something neutral for settling there
If Alexander Dugin has his way, the US will be excluded from BRICS.
But i doubt that will happen. $ is $.
