Unless you opt in to their e2e encryption (whatever they call it) and hold your private key. Still, screen shots.

You also have to trust that their e2e solution really is e2ee. Because nothing with Apple is open source.

That’s not really true. A lot of Apple‘s key chain / security stuff has been opened sourced some years ago. But idk if iMessages encryption was part of that.

Stuff like swift and llvm and darwin are. They wouldn't get any deveoper adoption otherwise. Good luck finding anything related to their encryption open source that wasn't already. I would welcome being proven wrong.

Well, wait till the change the rules on what’s acceptable.

Then we’ll all have something to hide.
