It seems that one of the purposes of the Trump Administration’s tariffs is to increase revenue for the federal government so that the federal government can afford to give billionaires tax cuts without increasing the federal deficit (which would then increase inflation). 🇺🇸 Given that it’s not clear how the government can afford to give billionaires tax cuts without the tariffs will the stock market go down again when the tariffs are back on in 90 days? Or will the stock market be net stagnation for the next 4 years?
