The idea of paying people a wage is deeply embedded in society.
Why paying people their full wage? Why doesn't the government keep 100% of what peolle make and just give them what they need? 100% state issued welfare, for the greater good of course.

How to destroy of civilisation? Remove the ability of individuals to support the next generation.

I have a better idea. As a proof of concept, anyone subscribing to this idea as a good one should pay any money that they do not spend each year to the government as a voluntary ‘greater good’ tax. We can let that run for a few years and see if anyone is better off because of it.
