My company pays me in Japanese yen and OpenSats pays me in BTC.

But if yen is depreciating and BTC is appreciating, does Mattn-san ever think that getting paid in BTC is better? Of course tax and general BTc-acceptance play a role.

I am asking because this is one of the reasons I don't have a LN address ( how to sustainably get BTC taking local laws into consideration)

Japanese tax for BTC is crazy expensive. It is sucks.

That's bad.

Here too financial regulations are not very crypto-friendly (a bit understandable as financial literacy itself is low + it's not a well-established system making it a target for scammers).

Maybe when it becomes more mainstream taxes will become lower 🤞
