Anyone remember the old bitcoin idea called “firstbits”?

The basic idea was that the first few bits of a bitcoin address are sufficient to uniquely identify a (previously used) bitcoin address and you could use something like autocomplete inside a wallet or web app…I haven’t seen anyone doing this in many years.
