Is nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 translate based on selected keyboards?

I had added Spanish keyboard and then realized that Spanish was no longer auto translated. Removed it and Damus is now translating Spanish notes again.

Purple translate

Hi nostr:npub1qdsjkr46urkg6vqrr3zqhgy8l7dazc5k9hlm5jmwqg0vft7hzgtqamgfw3 The translation feature only activates for languages that are not configured as a preferred language in iOS.

You can check and modify your preferred language settings in the iOS settings app > General > Language & Region > Preferred Languages

I believe it’s possible that adding an international keyboard might have also added that language as a preferred language automatically, but you should be able to tweak those iOS settings independently (e.g. I have a Japanese keyboard on mine, but I have removed Japanese from my preferred languages list)

Hmm, i have to test this some more but when i changed preferred languages, it didn't work. It only worked after turning off the keyboard
