Being muted on Nostr, or anywhere else, doesn't mean anything bad about you, since anyone can mute anyone for any or no reason.

Also consider that you may never know you have been muted. I don't even know why some clients publish mute lists, but it's not necessary. Clients can keep that list locally and never publish that information to relays.

Also what clients have follow notifications?

I know some do and I once suggested a standard way of sending and handling such notifications, but it didn't get adopted.

We need a standard NIP, one which is back-compatible and which works well, for follow notifications.
