I've been pushing for #RCV (ranked choice voting) for years, and we finally have it in some #Maine elections. It takes more time, but gives folks the means to vote their conscience without worrying about "spoilers". I personally love it, being one who usually votes 3rd party -- usually Green or Socialist -- but has voted blue for certain races. nostr:npub1xl53tf7y9rq97agzfry5fk7044xalzjwt6ypwnq9uarxqpse57nsvmrqkr nostr:npub13veuvjp4mefcf89y5lpevu5e9uu0a6uk3zjfykswx69x6spw3u5sw5ekay
It is so insanely obvious that #America needs to adopt the French two-round system for presidential elections.
That way you can have 3rd- and 4th-party candidates who will not act as enablers for #fascism
Everybody votes for who they want in the first round and then chooses between the two finalists in the second. It's such an obvious and simple solution.

Either would be a massive improvement!
I think I prob prefer the two-round system on the whole.
I like the finality of it - "OK you voted for who you actually wanted in the first round. Now this is the actual choice - the fascist or the non-fascist"
