I can relate to the point being made.

Christmas is a great time to spend with family and chill out.

But most us never question the origins of the holiday and the meaning behind it, we just take it at face value. Nothing wrong with coming together with friends and family as long as you don't make it about gifts. I try to make it less about Christmas and more about family time and get-togethers.
