Personal firewall is working 👍

Self2Wan ICMP type B detected is pretty common though , cuz you know the whole IP-scanning across the public interwebs (but it could be nostr related too 🤣 time will tell)

Actually I always worry about relay operators cuz they have logs one way or another and depending how they conduct their business they might try to deploy their hackin skills on "some of us" haha (and most of them I can't see their face, but I keep track of THEM in my notes just in case I need to call FBI/NSA 🤣)

Anybody else thinks that sometimes? 😁

Audit your home networks y'all, for good measure update your router firmware etc and obviously always use the VPN when Nostr-ing

What’s your favorite VPN

MullvadVPN and ProtonVPN. lately see a lot of Mullvad love on here cuz recent event which was their inability to provide user data cuz they didn't have any

I just activated kill switch (ProtonVPN) in my personal laptop, Android phone and iPhone to make sure I connect to the VPN each time before any internet activity, especially when using Nostr !

100% always-on killswitch is helpful to prevent inbetween slippage 😅lolll

But on iOS is not working properly I can connect to internet even without the VPN being activated.

In Linux/Android, it’s working perfectly ! I have no internet access until I’m connecting to the VPN

I hear you. Also feeling good 😄🫂

That’s the way. 😂💜🫂 ProtonVPN is great ! So many fast and reliable servers ! Let’s hope that no log policy is well respected 😂

And MullvadVPN too, they JUST showed off they have no logs like few others in the past this one being recent (and they released TOR browser im gonna have to try just cause)

The browser is just a fork of the Tor browser, without the connection to Tor. It’s a great one !

In another news too, Proton are working on their own password manager, which also will be great !

That’s truly concerning ! And there is also a money trail for P…., so you are easily identifiable !

Depending how you paid maybe yes 😄 but you can always switch to new account and redo to improve privacy via diff payment method

They tried, but failed.... to stay in business perhaps.

“Proton received a legally binding order from Swiss authorities which we are obligated to comply with. There was no possibility to appeal this particular request,” Yen wrote in the post. “The prosecution in this particular case was very aggressive. Unfortunately, this is a pattern we have increasingly seen in recent years around the world.”

Crucially, the order did not provide the contents of the activist’s email, which are encrypted and cannot be accessed by Proton. Yen said a similar order would also not be able to provide ProtonVPN metadata, as VPNs are subject to different requirements under Swiss law.

Still, the arrest is alarming for many users of ProtonMail, who had expected the service to have more robust protections against legal identification. Yen pledged to update the service’s public documentation to “better clarify ProtonMail’s obligations in cases of criminal prosecution.”

I have a yearly subscription, but once that’s finished. I’m moving to Mullvad.

Your data is still encrypted. If you occupy Paris square you maybe doxxed ( not a lawyer, so Lolll)

Haha 😂 no luckily 😂😂

The marketing on the website lol

We created Proton VPN to protect the journalists and activists who use Proton Mail. Proton VPN breaks down the barriers of Internet censorship, allowing you to access any website or content.

I think authorities were just tightening their grips in recent years in various jurisdictions and world changes I guess. We evolve, we're good 🫂 ☀️

🫂🫂💜 in the EU, there are several laws that are suggested to monitor all the electronic communications in the future. I hope they won’t be voted.

Me too, used to live in Poland, have family there, they as you know are in EU too. I'm pissed at this Brussels bullshit 😅

well let’s hope for the best 🤞🏼

I'm waiting for each EU nation to do massive protests and put manure on parliments, and I hope US does the same cuz we beyond the boiling point when I think about everything they try to pull on us. Freeeeedommmmmmmmmmm

ProtonVPN would've helped. From article:

"ProtonMail also operates a VPN service called ProtonVPN and points out that Swiss law prohibits the country's courts from compelling a VPN service to log IP addresses. In theory, if Youth for Climate had used ProtonVPN to access ProtonMail, the Swiss court could not have forced the service to expose its "real" IP address. However, the company seems to be leaning more heavily toward recommending Tor for this particular purpose."

BitWarden or VaultWarden selfhosted is the besttttt. But yea not a bad idea for their "suite"

It’s these two that I use 😂💜
