You should take a #meshtastic device on your flight next time. Then, at least, you can send some GMs to the nodes at ground level.

If you do get one and take it on a flight with you, please be courteous and put your node into client mute mode.

Yes, ground level nodes will come through. What will not occur is that you will not rebroadcast packets from ground level nodes to other ground level nodes that would never be able to see them otherwise.
