If you have the capability to run satdress on a VPS, do it straight away.

I setup a GetAlby account, but not sure if I setup the lightening address correctly

It looks like an email address. If I remember correctly, it's not created automatically when you create the Alby account. There is a button for it. Then just add the address to your nostr profile and you're set.
