Something like that, yeah. At least based off of the relays that nostr.band is tracking.
A small, but vibrant community we are.
😐 thats a small pond for what i want to accomplish. i hope it picks up soon or its back to the drawing board for me.
I don't think this will ever be mainstream, but it's going to grow. It's still a bit confusing and intimidating to the average person.
What would be helpful is purple pilling people who have high numbers of followers elsewhere. If they start posting content over here and get even 10% of their followers to come over, that would drive more growth.
The other thing that would drive growth is more draconian censorship on the other socials out there. That I see as a likely outcome, due to laws in the EU/UK and laws that certain senators and congressional reps really want to pass in the USA. Every time somebody gets silenced by centralized social media it's an opportunity to purple pill them.
Lastly, we need better search. I don't have the skill set to do this, but somebody needs to build a searchable service that crawls relays and indexes notes, and all the clients need to interface with that service.
