What are their pros and cons?

Monogamous is clearly the best option if you plan to have children.
Polyamory is complicated, but can be rewarding. But I don’t think most people can handle it. Most people aren’t taking good care of their monogamous relationships.
To each their own. What works for one person or couple might not for another.
That doesn’t quite deflect we’ll enough from all sorts of considerations does it?

There is great harmony in a husband sacrificing for his wife, and a wife sacrificing for her husband. Anyone arguing otherwise is full of delusion, modern fiat.
