Thanks for this great conversation, it was good to hear from some Bitcoin/lightning skepics. Anecdote for me, I use lightning all the time. I've accepted probably 50 donations via lightning for my Bitcoin meetup, I buy and sell (legal) goods and services with lightning all the time. I run a node on start9 and zap with it all the time with NWC (although I use the primal wallet for receiving zaps). I know a lot less about technical privacy, but I believe that lightning & liquid both offer decent privacy and I use liquid via aqua also all the time. Because Bitcoin is the only store of value that I trust, I like that I don't need to use crappy exchanges to try to get XMR or something just to spend.
